The Western Red Cedar Lumber Association (WRCLA) is a Vancouver-based, non-profit association that represents several producers of Western Red Cedar lumber products in British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and Idaho. The WRCLA aims to educate and promote Western Red Cedar as a high quality and sustainable building material towards consumers, builders and architects. Every year, the WRCLA celebrates the very best of Western Red Cedar through the annual release of The Cedar Book, which features and highlights the various residential and non-residential projects in North America—sometimes around the world—utilizing Western Red Cedar.

At Bare Advertising & Communications, my role was production artist, typesetting, editorial design, and art direction for five volumes of The Cedar Book. Each project submission had to go through an extensive review and selection process conducted by the editor before being approved a spot in that year's volume.

While the main subject matter remains the same across all five volumes, each has their own overall look and feel, and thus can stand independently from each other. The main goal of the Cedar Books is to instruct and delight both consumers and architects alike.
